Maintain and Care for your Benchtop

Engineered or manmade stone is made up of quartz, resins and pigments to create a non-porous stone surface. It is very durable and easy to look after. Simply wipe down with a soft cloth, mild soap and water on a daily basis. Apply a small amount of crème cleanser to a soft, damp cloth if you have a mark on the benchtop you wish to remove. It is also very wise to refer to each Manufacturer’s care and maintenance instructions that we have provided links to below. Engineered stone does not need to be sealed unlike natural granite.

Smartstone Care & Maintenance

Smartstone is a surface material composed of a minimum of 93% natural quartz, resins and pigments used as a binding agent. Smartstone have a large range of colours to choose from and these can all be viewed at http://www.smartstone.com.au/product-landing/ these colours include a number of veined products that mimic the look of natural granite. Smartstone products offer a limited manufacturer’s warranty of 15 years. It is important to follow the manufactures instructions regarding care for your tops. Please see the link below for a PDF. Silestone Maintenance &Cleaning

Silestone is a manufactured stone benchtop company fully imported from Spain and carries an industry leading limited warranty of 25 years.
